Frequently
Asked Questions (FAQs)
When
will the web site and radio station be officially launched?
We had an open day on October 1st 2011 for our Radio Station
and this went very well but the official launch for the
overall organisation has not yet taken place. We have been
going for a while now, test radio transmissions began streaming
on December 4, 2007 and our web site was up even before
we began streaming radio, we do have a few facets to add
however, like the live chat and a discussion forum.
Who
are the people involved?
Our growing team of workers and supporters represent different
unrelated churches of different denominations (Over a dozen
so far).
Who
are the people running the organisation?
We have an Executive Committee, a steering committee, a
tech team and a fund raising team covering two main divisions,
the web site and the radio station. We still have openings
on the Executive Committee for a manager for the third
division, the resource centre. We also need people for
the steering committee. See recruitment.

Who
can get involved?
To see who can get involved see our statement
of faith.
What
are the associate requirements and benefits?
Associates are for individuals. A church or Christian organisation
may send us their web address to be included in our index
and take advantage of our publicity. Associate levels are
as follows:
Levels
of involvement or types of associates
There
are three levels of involvement. All three levels will be
given regular updates of things that are happening at UIC
and UIC Radio, plans for the future, changes that are being
made, programme scheduling etc. and will be the first pool
we draw from to invite to special functions and given discounts
where applicable etc. Partners are also considered associates.
‘Sponsors’
are individuals, companies or organisations that pay to
keep programmes on air. At the beginning of these programmes
the sponsor will be announced. Example, “This programme
is brought to you by XYZ Ltd”. We are still working
on the details of the cost but at present it is £10
for a prime time slot (i.e. £10 every time the programme
is aired). See the 9 hour schedule
(This schedule is subject to change up to the point
of our launch) Sign up as a
Sponsor
‘Partners’
are individuals, companies or organisations that
commit to giving a set amount every month, this could be
as little as £5. We will provide postage envelopes
for persons who are not able to pay by standing order or
by using a credit or debit card via our web site. These
people are the key people as we will plan our budget based
on their commitment so please pray and be sure before you
make this commitment. Partners will have access to our financial
records to see how their money is being spent. If you wish
to contribute via standing order kindly send
us your postal address and bank name and we will send
you a standing order mandate form. Sign
up as a partner
‘Standard’
will be the pool we draw from to provide information to
keep us on track. To do this you would be required periodically
to complete questionnaires when we do our regular quality
checks. We also depend on you to participate, sample and
provide feedback on test programmes etc. Standard associates
may make a financial contribution as they wish. We do ask
that Churches and organisations listed on the site assign
one person as a member to represent them at members meetings
where they can play a part in forwarding the overall vision
and success of UIC. Sign up as a

Anyone may
donate money or items that the organisation needs. See a list
