As the dew of Hermon,...there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore. Ps 133:3

About United In Christ (UIC) and United In Christ Radio (UIC Radio)

Individual groups as well as united groups have been praying and discussing ways to further unite Christians in Grimsby & Cleethorpes for some time now and in January 2007 with God's help United In Christ (UIC) was born. UIC is the umbrella organisation for United In Christ Web (UICW), United In Christ Radio (UIC Radio) and United In Christ Television (UIC TV). We believe the electronic media can play a major part in helping the LOCAL churches and Christians in their work. The electronic media is a very powerful tool for reaching the masses and should not simply be handed over to be used for evil. For the glory of God let us use the technology to interact with each other and to broadcast the Lord’s message as one united body, though based in different locations.

UIC is not a denomination or a church neither is it owned or operated by any one denomination or church. Think of UIC like a precinct or a mall, different unique stores but one mall, united on key issues and sharing some resources. When persons enter the web site they have access to a range of information, resourses and tools from a range of different Christian people, churches and organisations. At present our team of workers represent different unconnected churches of different denominations. Find out how you or your church can get involved or join our team.

Joining UIC does not mean you need to fit into any mould or take on any label. You need however to be Christian (see Statement of Faith) and have a view to work with others for the purposes of the kingdom. No group will be compelled to work with any other specific group, it will all be up to you. True unity can only come from willing hearts.

Vision
To facilitate and encourage unity through the use of every spiritual, organisational and technological means made available to us by God. That these specified areas may be transformed by a people united in God through love, faith and purpose.

Mission Statement
To unite Christians and Christian activities in the Grimsby and Cleethorpes area through an Internet radio station, website and resource centre

UIC will:
• appeal to all groups to love and unite as Christ said we should;
• use spiritual means (such as organised praying) to help encourage and bring unity;
• use organisational means (such as networking, indexing, information and resource sharing) to help encourage and bring unity;
• use technical means (such as radio, TV and the web) to help encourage and bring unity;

UIC and UIC Radio hopes the above means will also help:
• expose hidden gifts and talents as churches and groups interact and share;
• persons identify things and areas of interest so they can become a joint of supply to the wider body;
• give our youth a new sense of purpose and hope for the future as they too discover activities they can be involved in co-operatively;
• spread needed resources to groups and activities that are in need;

Statement of Faith
We set out to unite those who believe:

• in the Bible as God's infallible Word, uniquely inspired and supremely authoritative in all matters of faith and conduct. It is a complete and sufficient revelation of all matters concerning God's nature, His will for mankind and eternal salvation through Jesus Christ. 2 Tim 3:16, John 20:31, Rev 22:19, 2 Peter 1:21.

• in one God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Gen 1:1, 2 Cor 13:14, Titus 2:13, 2 Cor 3:17,18

• Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. He led a sinless life, took on Himself all our sins, died and rose again, and is seated at the right hand of the Father as our mediator and advocate. This resurrection demonstrates His complete authority over sin, death and the Devil and that He is Lord over all things. He will return to earth at the end of this present age. 2 Cor 5:2l, Acts 2:23-24, 1 Cor 15:3,4, Heb 4:15 Eph 1:20,21, Matt 1.18-23, Acts 1:9-11.

• that mankind forfeited his original relationship with God when Adam the first created man disobeyed God by following the bidding of the Devil. Every person born into the world inherits this fallen status and sinful nature. All men everywhere are lost and face the judgment of God, and need to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ by accepting by faith the gift of salvation paid for by Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross.

• that Christ will return to earth at the end of time and be seen by all living people. He will resurrect every person who ever lived to face the last judgement where all mankind will give an account of their thoughts, words and deeds.

...if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
